NY Pitch First Novel Do you wish to gain an edge ahead of time before attending the New York Pitch, or are you simply looking for a valuable novel writing and development seminar? Regardless, this online conference-sponsored event is designed to fulfill both purposes.

New York faculty believe that developing and writing a commercially successful novel depends on interweaving three primary subsets. This seminar therefore addresses in detail a commercial foundation in terms of premise, plot, and "six act" progression; pre-publication novel marketing in terms of title, genre choice, comparables, and pitch; and finally, focus on vital branch elements including protagonist and antagonist creation, scene choice and design, prose style technique, narrative verve, foreshadowing, exposition, pinch points, theme, and more.

The aforementioned subsets are filtered by faculty according to each writer's genre, and each writer receives individual attention and feedback in two stages (one in AM session, one in PM session). To emphasize in context, productive reaction, discussion, and critique are not group driven, but delivered by professionals working in tandem, both of whom are accomplished New York Pitch faculty. In addition, seminar benefits include the following: 如何使用风赛 1. Significant pre-seminar novel element assignments and readings prepared by faculty; 2. Review of each writer's opening pages and prose style; 3. The Algonkian 86-page study guide on novel writing; 4. An opportunity to bank priceless information about the way commercial publishing actually works; and 5. A professional sell sheet containing all the elements necessary to pitch professionals online or at conference.

The faculty are intimately familiar with all genres including women's fiction in general (serious and light), historical fiction, thriller, mystery, crime, suspense, YA and MG (speculative and non-speculative), science fiction and fantasy (all sub-genres), and military fiction.
